Upload one ID document (passport, national ID, or driving licence. Complete the live selfie check. Verification usually completes within 2 min AVG, and and after that you’re ready to make your first deposit!
Documents you need
Identity: passport, national ID card, or driving licence. Must be valid (not expired). Both sides if it's a card.
Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement, or government letter. Must be dated within the last 3 months and show your full name and address.
Live selfie: taken inside the app or platform, used to confirm the ID belongs to you.
Steps
1. Log in to nomo on the web or in the mobile app.
2. Open the Profile menu and select Verify account.
3. Choose your country of residence and ID type.
4. Take a clear photo of the ID. All four corners are visible. No glare on the text. Both sides if it's a card.
5. Upload your proof of address. Bank statements and utility bills are most common.
6. Complete the live selfie. Hold your face in the frame and follow the on-screen instructions.
7. Submit. You'll receive an email when verification is complete, usually within 24 hours.
Important notes
The name on your ID must exactly match the name on your nomo account. Mismatches are the most common reason for rejection.
Screenshots and printouts of digital documents are not accepted — we need the original photo or scan.
Documents must be in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian, or Arabic.
You can deposit before verification, but you cannot withdraw until verification is complete.
Troubleshooting
My document was rejected.
Check the rejection email — the reason is listed. The most common cause is a blurry or partially-cropped photo. Retake in good light and re-upload. If you'd like support to review, send a screenshot of the error to [email protected] from the email registered to your account.
Verification takes longer than 24 hours.
Most cases complete within 24 hours. Some require additional review and can take up to 72 hours. After 72 hours, contact support and quote your verification ticket ID.
I don't have any of the listed proof-of-address documents.
Contact support. We accept some alternatives on a case-by-case basis, including notarised letters and certain government-issued correspondence.
