nomo Web vs mobile app vs MT5: which should I use?

Use nomo Web for most things if you trade from a computer.

Use the nomo mobile app for monitoring positions and trading on the go.

Use MT5 if you run automated strategies, custom indicators, or already know it from previous brokers.

You can use all three on the same account.

nomo Web

  • Best for: most clients, most of the time. The default choice.

  • Strengths: clean modern interface, integrated copytrading and AI Index, no installation needed, full access to TradingView charting.

  • Limits: no automated trading. No custom indicators beyond the built-in set.

nomo mobile app (iOS, Android)

  • Best for: monitoring positions, placing trades on the move, push notifications for price alerts and account events.

  • Strengths: full live trading and copytrading, optimised for mobile, biometric login.

  • Limits: chart analysis is more constrained on a small screen — most clients run analysis on desktop and execute on mobile.

MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

  • Best for: experienced traders who already know MT5, run Expert Advisors (EAs), or use custom indicators.

  • Strengths: industry-standard platform, vast community of EAs and indicators, multi-instrument trading, advanced order types, strategy tester.

  • Limits: steeper learning curve. Copytrading and AI Index are not available inside MT5 — you'd switch to nomo Web or our app for those.

Can I use all three?

Yes. They all connect to the same nomo account. Open positions and balance sync across all platforms in real time. Many clients run charts on MT5 desktop, monitor on the mobile app during the day, and use nomo Web for AI features.

Recommendation by trader type

  • For most first-time traders, the nomo mobile app is the easiest and most convenient way to get started. The web platform is also available for those who prefer trading from a desktop.

  • Copytrader / passive investor: nomo Web or app — both expose Copytrading and AI Index. MT5 isn't needed.

  • Algorithmic / automated trader: MT5, with the mobile app for emergency intervention.

  • Experienced manual trader from another broker: MT5 if you have working setups, otherwise nomo Web for a cleaner experience.
