Every nomo client gets a demo account alongside their live account. Switch between demo and live with one click on the platform. Demo trades use real-time market data and virtual funds — the same engine, but no real money at stake. Use it to learn the platform and test strategies.
What the demo account does
Your demo account behaves exactly like a live account. Real prices, real spreads, real execution speed — only the money is virtual. Wins and losses don't affect your real balance. It is the safest place to learn how nomo works and to test ideas before committing capital.
Steps
1. Log in to nomo. The demo account is created automatically alongside your live account.
2. Find the account selector in the top-right of nomo Web, or in the Accounts section of the mobile app.
3. Switch from Live to Demo. The interface stays the same; only the balance and positions change.
4. Trade as you would on the live account. Open positions, set stop-losses, try Copytrading on a live account.
5. Switch back to Live whenever you're ready.
What to test on demo
Placing a market order, a limit order, and a stop order — see how each behaves.
Setting a stop-loss and a take-profit — confirm they trigger as expected.
Holding a position overnight — observe how the swap charge appears.
Trying Copytrading or the AI Index, if you're considering them.
Using the mobile app for the first time without the pressure of real funds.
Important notes
Demo trading is a learning tool, not a predictor of live results. The psychology of risking real money is different. Don't assume that demo profits will translate one-to-one to live.
Demo balances can be reset on request if they get too high or too low to be useful.
Some features (like very large position sizes) may behave slightly differently on demo because there's no real liquidity behind them.
